Optical inspection

The optical inspection gives an overview over damaged areas and possible sources of error. For the optical inspection of electronic components and surfaces we use incident light and stereo microscopy. These enable magnifications up to 200 times. The incident light microscope allows images with a large dept of field, which makes it easier to determine sources of error. With the help of software we can stack 2D-images, taken from different heights together, to create a 3D-image of the electronic component.

Such an optical inspection is indispensible for a succesfull analysis.
