Cross-section

Cross-sections are used for the analysis of faulty passive components and printed circuit boards. The components are embed in resin, to enhance the mechanical stability. Then different grades of sandpaper are used to grind until the desired plane. The preparation is finished by polishing the component. These steps lead to a cross-section with high quality, from which the error can be determined.
